American Pit bull Terrier

Adult Male

estimated to be 1-2 years old

I'm not sure what happened, but i was with my owner having fun then this beautiful Labby girl came into my home. Man she was the sweetest thing on earth and i fell in love with her and she me. Why wouldn't she, don't you see how handsome I am? My whoman trained me right, and to be respectful of the ladies. I decided to court this Labby and boom she was bearing my puppies. Some look like her and boy do some look like me. Beautiful to say the least. Now its my turn to teach my babies how to be awesome like me. Wait what is going on 2 of my babies are missing. Now we have to go to a new home....What!!! Wait a cotton pickin' minute here hat is this place? At least the beautiful labby and most of my pups are here too. I must hurry to teach my kids how to be great like me, but now I have this new place to explore and man now I can run freely ..This yard is soooo big. I'm being told by these people this is only a resting stop on the road to a new forever home. Apparently these people are called "Hooks" and they rescued my family from devastation.

My Rescue Story

Korvo came to our rescue as a Owner Release. He is the daddy to a large family. He got the female dog of the home pregnant because neither one of them were fixed. This accidental litter of 11 puppies, mom and dad, and the human family now caused issues in this home. It became apparent due to the size of the home and the large amount of dogs in this rental unit that it was a tight squeeze. Almost immediately after the puppies were born the landlord came knocking. It ultimately came to a point that the landlord gave notice to the human family that if the dogs were not removed from the home that they would have to start the eviction process. The family had one choice to either give up this family of dogs or to loose their roof over their head. To make matters worse the husband was in the military himself and the home was being paid for by his military housing allotment.

The family decided to reach out to our rescue to help them. As our board are made up of volunteers who work at jobs of their own, we needed to wait until they got off of work to accept the family. By the time board got to the home the family already have given away 2 of the puppies.

As 3 of the board members spoke to the family and signed off on ownership of the dog family, they had recommended that the human family learn about accidental litters, spay and neutering and back yard breeding.

As we arrived back at the rescue we evaluated all dogs and learned Caroline, the mom, was emaciated to the point that she was no longer producing milk for her young pups. We recalculated the pups were only 5 and a 1/2 weeks old, not 8 weeks old that was explained to us. We also saw Korvo, the dad, was on the thin side as well, even though a great pleasure to be around.

Our rescue started mom and Dad on food that would help gain weight and bring back health. We had to be very careful with mom as we needed to put weight on but not change the balance of producing good milk for the pups.

Korvo will be ready for a new home as soon as he puts on some weight, gets up to date on shots, fixed and cleared by our vet.

The meaning of my name:

Hooks Home Bound Rescue names each dog after a fallen tow truck driver, "Hook", if they do not come to us with a name. Due to the age of Korvo we decided not to change his name, as he is used to her name.

But his pups all have names representing Fallen Tow Truck Drivers

My Medical Status

Thanks to Hooks Home Bound Rescue, I will be up to date on shots, fixed and cleared by their vet to find a new home.

Compatibility Status

1-2 year old American Pitbull Terrier who came to us originally as an owner release.

He is crate trained, good with other dogs (large and small), great on a leash, great with kids, and great with cats.
